HANDS-ON DESIGN THINKING WORKSHOP Spring 2022

J Schuh's workshop brings clients into the classroom to bring real problems for our students. The idea is that companies and organizations must innovate and optimize customer experiences to remain competitive and relevant, and many use Design Thinking methodologies to create and deliver both quality and value. Design Thinking methodology provides a solution-based approach to create customer-centric products, services, and experiences by observing and engaging stakeholders in problem-solving strategies.

Our Client: Agile for Patriots

Agile for Patriots prepares military Veterans and their spouses for Agile careers through training, coaching, certification and practical experience using the Scrum framework. All graduates of the Agile for Patriots program are employed with fulfilling roles in Agile Value Delivery. Agile for Patriots is a Dallas-based non-profit that provides military veterans and their spouses with focused Agile training, practical experience, and Professional Scrum Master certification.

Final Presentations

The project for this class was to do a deep dive into the challenges of the Agile for Patriots program and offer solutions that would help our military members more easily transition into the tech industry.

Workshop Activities and Mural Boards

This online workspace allows the teams to use the UX framework to work together through the various exercises that create their UX artifacts. These many exercises use the framework that lead to their final presentations. Our timed activities are designed like an executive workshop where we maximize stakeholders time. We also try to make the classes entertaining as well as educational with icebreakers interspersed.
